Our Story
River City Coffee Roasters, based in Ormiston, South East Queensland source sustainable and ethically produced specialty grade coffee, roasting it to showcase the full potential and flavour while ensuring the unique characteristics of each origin are retained.
These crafted specialty coffees are showcased in our roastery/cafe and are available for purchase on-site and online.
Furthermore, a selection of meticulously curated high-quality brewing accessories, espresso machines, and grinders are available at our roastery.

Quality
We review and evaluate every batch we roast before it is released. Our quality assurance methodology includes moisture and density testing, colour testing of roasted batches and evaluation of each roast profile reviewing data from the six critical data collection points on our Diedrich IR roaster.
However none of this testing replaces our sensory evaluation of the coffee. Coffee is ground on our industry standard Mahlkonig EK43 grinder and brewed in the cafe in multiple styles for final evaluation.

The Roaster
All our coffee is roasted to order fresh each week on our Diedrich coffee roaster. Diedrich roasters are the only commercial roaster manufactured with clean burning infrared burners which produce far less NOX, CO, CO2 and Aldehyde by-product gases.
